You think she'd be nice enough to let you be on the bottom!\
:D

Actually she's (reasonably) a bit concerned about aggravating the rib, but I've mainly been able to convince her to let me worry about that,

blowing a load is probably the best possible pain reducing therapy on earf.

While I understand the sentiment, it might be a good test of culinary skill. I mean, if you can make that stuff taste good, you deserve an award.

One of my all time favorite episodes of Top Chef was during the Las Vegas season. They brought the chefs in to Tom Colicchio's steakhouse and let them ooh and ahh and wet themselves over all the gorgeous cuts of meat they could be possibly working with. Then, they find out their guest judge that week is Natalie Portman, who is vegan, and they have to prepare vegan/vegetarian dishes. I swore, most of the chefs were about to cry. But, it was a great challenge--anyone can go in to a great steakhouse and make a great meat-based meal, but can you step outside of that and still produce something great?

Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

I was going to eat at CraftSteak, Colicchio's steakhouse, looked at the prices on the menu posted outside, and realized that the steak would cost more than my flight home. I walked a little further and bought a sandwich for $7 instead.

Expensive for sure, but I don't see how that could possibly come as a surprise.

No, it wasn't a surprise, but when I actually was at the point that I was going to eat there, I decided I would rather not spend that much.

Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

I hate people who don't do the required stuff for the job:

Co-worker is helping me in my area today. Requirements: pack order up, palletize it, shrinkwrap it. He never shrinkwraps, even if he's the only guy over there. Except for ONE carrier (out of 4-5), we are supposed to do that.

Him: So, is there anything else to do, or is that it?
Me: You have to shrink wrap that pallet.
Him: No I don't. I never shrink wrap the stuff. The drivers can do it.
Me: It's required. HeadBoss said that, from day one.
Him: I never heard that [wrong; he did. I was next to him at the time]
Me: So you're not going to shrink wrap it.
Him: No. (and kind of chuckles)
Me: Get the f* out of here then. I ain't dealing with your sh* anymore. Go, get the f* out. [yes, that is a direct quote, and I said it rather loudly]

Went over afterwards, told CoolBoss and NewBoss (the team co-leaders) exactly what happened (cuss words and everything). We'll see what happens.

Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

Here's a random question: if someone is watching the Star Wars movies for the first time (a kid who's just getting to be old enough, say), should they watch them 4-5-6-1-2-3 rather than 1-2-3-4-5-6 so that the "I am your father" twist in 5 isn't ruined by seeing it set up at the end of 3?

4-5-6

And scene.

Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

This.

You watch them in the order that they were released in the theaters.
