Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

2.5 hours and $320 later (that includes tip) and my tatt is done. It's way more intense than I thought it would be. The guy suggested some shading in certain places that really turned out well, and depth to it. Pic should be up in about half an hour.

Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

Well, what started out as a joke idea 2 weeks ago (hey, while I'm in Denver, I'll just get a tattoo from my buddy's kid at his studio) will become a reality tomorrow, barring unforseen circumstances. :D

I mean, I had the tattoo drawing in my head for a few months now, just never got to go to the place where I got my other ones. When this possibility came up, and having seen the guy's work last time I was here, it seemed like too good of a thing (and kinda crazy thing) to pass up. The guy is good.
Which studio?

Which studio?

Love N Hate Elite, on W Alameda. It just opened up a couple months ago. The guy who did my tatt, Mike Nance, is the son of a buddy of mine. He's excellent, in tattooing and drawing. I think he does art shows, too.

It's an....interesting neighborhood. ;)

Just south of mile high there. I used to live not too far, just about a mile or so. If you head a little south on federal from there, there's some outstanding Asian food. Big Vietnamese and Hmong communities through there.

Aaaaaaaaand just found out the place was broken into this morning. :( Nothing much was taken, I guess, so that's good.

And yay for the weekend.

Weird Al concert on Comedy Central = win.

"Party In The CIA" might end up being one of his best parodies ever.
