FTR, I used to live across the street from someone who owned a diesel truck. We're talking monster engine, tires, extras, blah blah blah. I'm a sound sleeper, and that *er used to wake me up every morning when he started his truck. Didn't mind. A) it was just after my snooze alarm hit and B) It was a glorious sound.

Brent is right. The rumble of a V-Twin Harley is a great sound. Even though I have a diesel I still think that the sound of a big block V-8 gas engine has a much sweeter sound. Big block with some Flowmaster/Magnaflow/Gibson performance exhaust, oh yeah...

It is a cool sound, but annoying when someone is obviously making their bike louder so more people will notice them.

And most modern exhaust systems will keep the horsepower constant or even improve it slightly over uncorking it ahead of the muffler, unless you do some major porting.

No TK's for me on Saturday. I know, everyone is surprised to hear that from me, but I can't pass up a hog roast, with free beer, and promised single girls only a half mile from my house. I am planning on riding my 4-wheeler there.

Private waitress and room (which is not totally blocked off from the main bar; IIRC, it's just gated off). I'll have to talk to my buddy, but I think you just have to reserve it, and spend a minimum of $250 directly from the private waitress. Problem is, getting a reservation is usually a beech.
