considering they ship out a ridiculous amount of Coors Light, I'd say they are doing just fine. :p

Psst: KBC is the freshest stuff Yoopers can get, and tastes pretty darn good. Why would they opt for skunked Beck or horsepee MillerCoorsBudweiser?

Of course it's overrated. When a place only charges $2.50 for a pint, you can't expect them to brew the best beer on the planet.

However, considering the economic climate of the area and the college student clientele, the KBC owners know that spending the big bucks to brew world class beer isn't sustainable.

If you live in the area, it's still better than drinking any of the water-beer you'll find at most house parties.

ever hear of some hard liquor? Some Ketel or Crown might do you quite nicely.

Yes, I've been known to drink liquor. Ketel and Crown are both overrated, and you should be congratulated on paying for their respective marketing campaigns. :p

This is a moot point though, as I no longer live in Houghton.

I'm a former bartender who slung drinks for 3 years. I know good liquor from bad. But hey, you want to stick to your Absolut and Jameson, go right ahead. Not like I don't know what I'm talking about here.

Eh, it's more personal preference. When I drink liquor, I'm mostly a bourbon and gin person.

Had Widmer for the first time a couple weeks ago. NPB at all. And noticed it was on sale (didn't buy) at the local store for $4/sixer. :eek: Maybe I'll get some for Labor Day Weekend.
