Why did I assume all this time that Foxton was a dude?

Because you'd be half-right.

Got a call from a former co-worker, asking a favor: play in a church league softball tourney. I guess I'm pulling a Favre and coming out of retirement for one last hurrah. :o

Frankly, after not playing for a couple years (hell, not even touching a bat or glove for that long) if I hit .200 I'll be happy.

Re: TRP: I'm Taking My Talents To Hartford: Remember The Whale!

If you hit over .500, will you give up writing checks and join the 1990's?

You said it's a church league. Out of practice or not, you should be lighting those hacks up. :D

No. Too small a sample size. :p

My career high for a season was .570 or so (was at .600 before the last game of the season, and oopsie hello bad night). My career avg was around .460, thanks to me completely sucking my last year or two playing.

I'm hoping that since it's a church league, I can use my opposite field hitting to boost my day's avg.

Fade: yes. The last couple years in my league, I was batting against a shift.

cause that's sort of true.

I call ctf Foxton2 because she's a giant failure at life. Much like Foxton is. So therefore, she's no better then Foxton, so I call her Foxton2.

And I call her Admiral AcPro, since she was on academic probation right away.

Why would you track your BA for softball? SOFTBALL.

Why would you track your BA for softball? SOFTBALL.

Because we were rubes and sports geeks and set up one of those Yahoo websites. Otherwise I never would have known.

Honestly, unless it's a blowout one way or the other, I rarely know if we're winning or losing. Truth. :o

Mr Baseball on Vs. Underrated movie, and it's amazing to see it become "truth" in the Japanese Invasion years later in American baseball. The shuuto, the noisemakers, the odd pitching deliveries, etc.

I don't think we know if he/she has actually had the final operation yet. Nor do we want to know. Another reason to not pick up a "chick" in Marquette.
