Got a call from a former co-worker, asking a favor: play in a church league softball tourney. I guess I'm pulling a Favre and coming out of retirement for one last hurrah.
Frankly, after not playing for a couple years (hell, not even touching a bat or glove for that long) if I hit .200 I'll be happy.

You said it's a church league. Out of practice or not, you should be lighting those hacks up.

My career high for a season was .570 or so (was at .600 before the last game of the season, and oopsie hello bad night). My career avg was around .460, thanks to me completely sucking my last year or two playing.
I'm hoping that since it's a church league, I can use my opposite field hitting to boost my day's avg.
Fade: yes. The last couple years in my league, I was batting against a shift.
