JMH, I'm sure there will be enough people around that will have cars that will take you *kers around. :p

Anyone in Hartford?
Sorry, I didn't see this until today, we're 45 minutes SE of Hartford.

Next up:

Good, clean, upstanding lawyers.

Aw, come one now. I have to believe that jmh showers on a regular basis.
Even if he doesn't, I do.

Yes, I'm still a lawyer. That doesn't change unless you get disbarred or withdraw from the bar altogether.

Re: TRP: I'm Taking My Talents To Hartford: Remember The Whale!

Well, you need a little better timing than that. You have to pick them off between the point of drunkeness and the point of puking.
You hold their hair while they puke and you hold it while they blow you.

Legal, you don't strike me as the type that would withdraw from any bar willingly. ;) :D

Apparently I'm not the only one who's had this thought before:

Re: TRP: I'm Taking My Talents To Hartford: Remember The Whale!

So I'm on my home from work. Go into the left turn lane to get onto the highway, and am about 50 feet from the light, which just turned green.

There's a blonde whore driving a Mercedes (she couldn't have been older than 30), and the bass is bumpin'. She hasn't moved by the time I get behind her.

So I lightly/politely tap my horn. Nothing. So I give the horn a double-tap. Nothing. I lay on the horn for a good 4-5 seconds. NOTHING. Of course, the light turns red at that point.

A couple seconds later, she looks up from whatever she was doing, and does the "the light should change any second because I've been here a while" creep forward.

YOU DUMB *ING SKANK B*! Maybe if you weren't trying to find your favorite song, or fingering yourself, or whatever the * you were doing, you would have made the last light! I half-thought about laying on the horn the instant the light turned green again, just to p* her off.

Re: TRP: I'm Taking My Talents To Hartford: Remember The Whale!

Well this is neat. There's an AIC tribute band around here called Nutshell. I played with them last fall, coincidentally. They absolutely SLEW. I lost my voice singing along with them.

Anyway, the singer for my metal band asks if I knew any AIC songs for a potential fill-in gig this Saturday afternoon (same day as a show with that singer later on). I talk to the guitarist, and apparently it's the same band. Good money too! AIC just kind of happens to be a long-time favorite for me, so I probably already know most of the tunes they'll play.

Nice. I remember them...definitely good stuff .

Obviously:

(215):
Somewhere at this very moment, a group of drunk white girls are singing dont stop believing.

I think I'd rather drink Lysol:

(504):
We drank a $4 handle of tequila until 5 am. Please think about that.

bbdl? (to be fair, he DID try to pay with a Blockbuster card one night):

(724):
You paid the taxi driver with a comb last night.

This could be any one of us:

(419):
i came home at 4 a.m. and made a dozen eggs and three lbs. of bacon. my mom woke up and the only thing she was ****ed about was that i used the whole carton of eggs, but then she sat down and ate with me

In case anyone in here is feeling down about themselves, just keep reminding yourself you're not this guy, and cheer up.

Yeah they were terrific. The more I listen to the newer AIC stuff (haven't learned but one song off the newest album), the more I'm really psyched about this. Hmm. 3 bands? Sure!

Re: TRP: I'm Taking My Talents To Hartford: Remember The Whale!

Meh. That song is the single most overplayed song in the history of mankind. I just completely got burnt out from it.

Re: TRP: I'm Taking My Talents To Hartford: Remember The Whale!

I take it back. I am able to extract some joy from it when the Tigers are in town and I get to boo the hell out of them when they say detroit.

But it's so catchy, and the backup homegrown "lyrics" help, too.

And for someone who admittedly joins The Wave, your opinion really doesn't count anyway.:p

Re: TRP: I'm Taking My Talents To Hartford: Remember The Whale!

Sweet jeebus. You guys act like participating in the wave is tantamount to infanticide.

Oh yeah, did I also mention I like to club baby seals, push elderly women into busy intersections, and steal candy from young children?
