Hey all - quick style question for anyone who might want to offer advice on this sort of thing: I'm headed to a wedding this weekend. I know what suit I'm wearing, but I can't decide on a shirt and tie. Here's what I'm choosing from:
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Option 4
If it's relevant, it's an outdoor wedding at a winery. Opinions?

I may need help. I just bet (mythically of course ;) ) a 4-player parlay on the US Open, 50 cents to win 10 (that means I get my 50 back plus another 10) on four players I never have heard of. :o

With being a band geek taking up a portion of the afternoon...8 am labs were the only option. 9 am classes were ok, I'm a morning person anyway. 8 am labs were awful. I went to physics lab in my pajamas once.

My vote is for option 3. But I have no fashion sense, or maybe just enough to think men shouldn't wear pink.

I have taught far more 8 am classes than I ever took. Its one of the joys of being one of the junior faculty members...you get the times no one else wants.

Agreed. I always try to shower at night. I think it started when I was growing up and working on the farm, when we came in from work, we definitely needed to shower before crawling into the bed.:eek:


As for 8AMs, I avoided them also, but it always seemed like there was one class or lab every semester that I had to take at 8, it made me pretty mad. My ideal schedule when I was in school went from 10-2, with an hour break to get work done and eat lunch. Usually I wasn't able to pull this schedule off...

I would deliberately try to schedule long days one or two days a week and then super short days the other 2 or 3 (I usually didn't have Friday classes). This then left time for a) working, b) field experience hours, and c)getting things done. The best was the semester when I had all but 1 of my classes (not counting band) on Tuesdays, and most of them ONLY met on Tuesdays, so I didn't have anything after 10am on Thursdays (again, not counting band). The worst was the semester that I had classes at 9, 11, 12, 1, and 3 every day.

I was listening to Dan Barriero on KFAN. Last years at the Minnesota State Fair, Sweet Martha's Cookies made $2 million gross. :eek:

I'm actually surprised that they don't make more than that. Each stand has 10-20 lines and every time I've walked by it this year the lines have been more than thirty feet long. Those things are really **** popular.
