tOSU @ tUMD: The Return of Peanut Butter Hjelle Time...

Re: tOSU @ tUMD: The Return of Peanut Butter Hjelle Time...

I just want to tip my cap to Biddco for the title of this thread (LOL)! I am seeing visions of Brian Griffin in the banana suit trying to cheer Peter (Griffin) up!

Sir/madam, you do not even know. In Duluth, we are hardcore.

Great pic ... and it would be "sir" in my case (corrected it for you). :D
We take our hockey seriously. Luckily we broke even on the shirts we made.

Brady transferring seemed premature back then (it cost him a ring), perhaps he saw how great Reiter would become in the future...

We all make and have to live with our mistakes. We haven't had to take issue with Brady as he rarely got much playing time since he came here as Heeter was our starter although Cal did have some games when he got pulled, as like a lot of goalies he had his prima donna hissy moments where he lost composure and I'd rate Brady's efforts as average when he came in to cover. I suspect if our freshman Olson develops quickly enough he will earn the starting spot as he shows a lot of potential.

Thank god Hjelle transferred. How does tOSU not have people who travel for radio? I bet there are 6 spores that are more followed than OSU hockey.

Now that the two teams have gotten game one under their belts I hope OSU adapts and gives a better showing tonight. In that first period which was a train wreck for us I won't put a lot of blame on Brady as I felt our defense really was to blame for those scoring chances MD had. We gave them opprotunity and they took full advantage of it.

And adapt they did. It helps when you play defense. I would like to see more evidence as to why UMD's third goal was disallowed. I read some articles that made it seem like our player was barely in the crease. Anyone have some insight on that?

I would like to address that disallowed goal but I can't as the video feed was terrible quality and our view was rather obstructed. I don't know who the TV guy was in charge but he was a moron as all during the break in action when the announcers were going over the replays all we saw was picture after picture of shots of the crowd, never saw the replays! The announcers obviously were looking at replay from the overhead camera, wish I could have seen it.
I don't think MD played worse than Friday, I think we just stepped our game up to match them.

I think UMD was hungry and OSU was starving last night. As for our tv people, whom I've never watched, probably had the same view as the jumbotron. I'm guessing they don't have a separate video feed that can replay anything on a whim.

Regardless, I can live with the split on the road against a proven program like yours. Best of luck the rest of the season!
