I'd like to see 40.
What will be a 'monster' year for Hoeffel? 35 pts?

A: Being on a team that is awarded home-ice first round.
The league is willing to do whatever it takes to give the Goofs home ice for the WCHA playoffs, Finals Five, Regionals, and the NCAAs.![]()
Notice when the gophers struggled to get home ice, the league added two more teams, so six teams can now get home ice? Coincidence? I think not![]()

Sounds like Brady Skjei will be a Gopher. Nice pick up.
U income improves
The University of Minnesota earned gross revenue of $17.9 million for the 2009 football season at the new TCF Bank Stadium compared with $10.5 million in 2008 at the Metrodome. Included in that $17.9 million figure is money generated from non-football events at the stadium.
The Gophers turned a profit of $1.9 million, which is near double what the Gophers athletic department earned from football during their last season at the Dome. I've heard that the $1.9 million was a disappointment and that it was expected earnings would be at least $3 million in the first year of the stadium.
However, when the Legislature refused to permit the school to sell alcohol in preferred seating, it likely deprived the university of another $1 million in profit.
Incidentally, even the Wild is having trouble selling tickets, and the team's sellout streak at Xcel Energy Center is in danger. The team is selling ticket packages of 10 and 20 games for the first time.
Jared Larson article. Should be interesting to see how he adapts to the pace of the WCHA from the NAHL.
Larson seems like a good fit for the Gophers who have had trouble with keeping players around for more than a couple years. Larson is the type of player that could develop into a good college hockey player if he sticks with the Gophers for all four years of his college career.
After 4 years with the gophers he "could develop into a good college hockey player".![]()
I take the quote as he will have had a good college hockey career with the Gophers after playing for 4 years.
The best goalies in the WCHA according to Chris Dilks.
