Actually, I don't think it is the new rule in play here. The earlier penalty comes off the board, and so the guy in the box came out on the goal. And then the penalty was enforced. Similar to if a team scored on the 5X3, except that second penalty guy wasn't in the box yet.

This is why I couldn't be an announcer. Dirk is still focused and upbeat, stating that Tech needs two to tie. Long ago, I would have said, "**** this. This game is over, and there is no way this should be a two goal game." Props to Dirk for earning his paycheck.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your Michigan Tech Huskies have just reached a 10-game winless streak. This marks the 6th time in the last 9 seasons that this has occurred. It is likely longer, but I only looked at the time since I arrived.

Dirk just declared this game over, but I think he was a bit behind the rest of us.
