I have heard of AHA B4. They're expertise is more helping youth players finding the right junior and college team/league. That video is for sure not well researched but it's possible Hobart is grandfathered under the old rules due to the lacrosse team? I think if any team is gonna move to d1 it would be geneseo. Ignoring how the whole SUNY system is structured they've won 8 out of the last 9 awards for top overall SUNYAC athletic program so all other teams transition to d2 wouldn't be too bad, and the arena only needs a light-maybe moderate renovation to add some seats they certainly don't need to build a brand new facility.

Just saw this post . I think it's crazy to put Hobart in the D1 discussion, as we have experience with our D! lacrosse program and know what it takes to move up to the next level. Coach Taylor has done an amazing job , but frankly ,as we experienced with our lacrosse program , it is awesome for a small school to challenge for Championships every year instead of competing at a D1 level where the financial commitment for major improvements to the rink would be a burden unless , like ASU , we get a 25MM + gift to make this possible. Our lacrosse team won 12 National Championships in a row before we went D1, I'd rather have 12 D3 National Championships,Not sure who Advancement Hockey Advising is .... but they're recommending 3 DIII programs make the jump to D1. Video HERE. Doesn't appears as though they're aware of the issues with moving up a single sport to a different division.
No idea who this person is, but certainly wouldn't trust this as an indication it will happen. The barriers for DIII schools to play up to DI are significant, as no new teams would be grandfathered into the arrangement for scholarships that RPI, Clarkson, St Lawrence, etc., have. His comments about Hobart having a good rink that would just need some minor renovations make me wonder if he's ever seen the Geneva Rec Complex let alone been to a game there.
