Things to do in MSP

Re: Things to do in MSP

Is traffic dodging still the official sport of downtown MSP? :p

I've been looking into things to do and mapping them out with respect to other things and my hotel as well (I'm staying just a bit out of town at a great rate). I couldn't believe the number of traffic alerts, even in the middle of the night. It looks like it's worse than NYC to drive around.

If you were looking last night, you were also looking at our traffic alerting system during the middle of a snow storm. Take that into mind.

That said, there are a few stretches of road that get pretty well gridlocked. Is your hotel to the northern, eastern or southern parts of the Twin Cities? Because the stretch of I-494 going west of Highway 77 can get really slow during rush hour. That's not too far from the MSP airport.

I was looking on Friday night, I believe. They all blend in with as much work as I'm putting in so I can have this weekend off. My hotel is to the north of the TC, in Roseville.

If you have an extra 9 hours, drive west on I-94 past the Red River, get out of the car, take a deep breath of Dakota Air, behold the sky all around you, and drive back. It will be worth it.

Make sure you find a beet and eat it in one sitting. Then you've become a local.

I don't like umpiring games in that weather where at least I can move around. Sitting in a chair for 3 hours, I'd become a human popsicle.

Yeah, we bought cheap, 1st Row outfield seats that we’ll eat or donate if we don’t want to go Saturday.

I have plenty of football tailgating and game watching cold weather experience, just need to dress warm and use alcohol as an additional layer.:)

DX could speak more on the matter, but if you're already towards east side of the metro, you should be fine.

Re: Things to do in MSP

Yeah. Roseville is dead center of the Cities. Great access to everything.

It will suck during rush hour, but it’s not too bad.

Re: Things to do in MSP

MSP really sucks. It is cold, no good food, terrible beer, and there is nothing to do. I think everyone should just stay home. And leave us alone.
