The States: Why does Minnesota wanna be Kansas?

Re: The States: Why does Minnesota wanna be Kansas?

Yeah, Rahm is pretty awful from an effectiveness standpoint alone not to mention everything else.

Re: The States: Why does Minnesota wanna be Kansas?

The race is far from over, but this isn't a good sign for Schuette. He's going to need a strong debate performance out of the gate, and help from the State congress to get the minimum wage initiative off the ballot.

I'm surprised Whitmer is polling as well as she is, but it's not like Schuette is a particularly likable candidate, even by Republican standards. Even Snyder hasn't been giving him too much help on his way out the door.

Re: The States: Why does Minnesota wanna be Kansas?

Snyder's been pretty unpopular in Michigan for the last couple of years. He likely wouldn't help Schuette much.

Strange this never happens in LA...but rather in a place where there are virtually no leftists.

Michigan gets any reason absentee and same day voter registration added to the ballot.

Its almost amusing (unless you live there) to think of the collection of a ssclowns the GOP had in office as governors at the same time only a few short years ago. I believe the careers of the following people overlapped: Brownback, Jindal, LePage, Christie, McCrory, Snyder, Walker, Scott, Rauer, Greitens. Its like a Murders Row of dunces.

Not only dunces, but proud dunces.

Re: The States: Why does Minnesota wanna be Kansas?

The crazy thing is how far the right has gone, Snyder looks like a centrist compared to when he started. He's vetoed plenty of bills the past year and a half that a GOP led congress has pushed to him with an easy majority.

Re: The States: Why does Minnesota wanna be Kansas?

And Snyder's psychotic. So, there's that.

Huh?

I don't think he's psychotic, or really even that big of a conservative. Just a typical snake-in-the-grass, corporate Republican who successfully covered his own arse when it came to Flint's water. Didn't even live in Lansing a majority of the time, just stayed ensconced in his expensive Ann Arbor condo.

To put it another way, he's Michigan's Rick Scott.
