There are places in every state that look and feel like that. And every white adult softball league is dominated by those guys.

There should be a name for it: the derpburbs. Remember in Sim City 1 the residential and low density commercial that grew up around the industrial sections? Blocks and blocks of nothing but strip malls, auto parts, and the occasional cop station like a fort in Indian country to keep the mayhem contained and away from the settlers.

I was at Holland, MI City Hall tonight, speaking in favor of adding LGBT to the employment and housing non-discrimination ordinance. The vote is next week. Some of the things I said tonight:

"You know what happens in the bathroom? I go in, close the door, pee, wash my hands, and get out." (after someone said we're going to engage in sex trafficking)

"I don't want to work in Holland with the fear of being fired for being trans hanging over my head." (religious liberty type)

"999 studies say we're real and our brains are different, but some of you cling to the one study that says we're delusional."

"All are created equal, but some are more equal than others. Is that what I'm hearing?"

So I am really tired after that. I shouldn't have to keep saying the same things over and over again, but as long as it's necessary, I'll keep doing it. This is what Mama Bears do. But Mama Bear would really like a hug after that.
 
Minnesota senate is held by Rs who are mad that the gov keeps extending emergency powers. So they’ve said they’re eliminating a cabinet position every 30 days.

today they removed the person in charge of workplace safety.

republicans are pure garbage
 
I dont think this is going to end well for them...and I hope someone coughs on the Senate Majority Leader because he is pure dripslime.

(he probably wont die so it wont matter anyways according to him and his asshole friends)

I figure I had to fight for myself, my trans siblings, and all the younger and freshly out trans people I'm "Mama Bear" to/mentor.

I have no doubt the rhetoric next week at the final vote will be even more hurtful, mean, and ignorant, but at the same time, their comments help make for stronger armor and give me things to speak on.

How do they go about “eliminating” cabinet positions? Doesn’t it work like at the federal level where they can vote yea or nay on a particular candidate? Can they just eliminate a position without the House?
