My State Senator came to my door last night. He has my full support of course cause not only is he a great guy (he was one of my daughters teachers in High School at one time) but he's a Democrat. He asked me what my number one issue was and I said, "elect more Democrats so you can do something".

No. No federal law exists, and only a handful of states have laws directly related to swatting. If the person swatted is killed by police, some states will file manslaughter charges on the caller (if the caller is identified).

They are going to do something monumentally stupid sometime soon because they are watching as their mythology is slowly crashing before their eyes. Do they really think a bunch of fake threats are going to stop liberals from voting? Especially here?!?!

Obviously they will call in bomb threats to polling places in liberal districts, and then they will start actually bombing them. And the media will caution against overreaction.

These are Nazis. Stop them now. They will only become stronger.

I vote by mail because I am usually working on election day from before the polls open to the minute they close and it would be difficult or impossible for me to vote any other way. I recommend anyone who lives in a blue or purple area to vote by mail. I recommend anyone who plans to vote for any republicans to instead eat their gun. Look up your state's rules and make sure you request the ballot in plenty of time (do it today, I requested mine last week) and mark all the democrats and then call your local democratic party and ask them how they want people to vote in non-partisan elections (issues, judges, etc).

Things I feared were going to happen if trump got elected in 2016 are coming true. We are in for the roughest ride we have had as a country since the middle of the 19th century. The next two years are going to look a lot more like a civil war than many people are prepared for or are willing to admit. Poll workers and voters are going to die this year attempting to run elections and to vote. Many who are sworn to protect us are in fact on the other side and will instead aid the enemies.
 
This is already a civil war, it's just being fought with courts and legislators. But the Right has jettisoned the law and process. They are using force and coercion wherever they can. They have completely broken through democratic guardrails and are off-roading it as a terrorist organization.

We must insist if you break the law you can't participate in the game anymore, even if you are 48% of the population, hell, even if you're 52%. They are doing this in large part because we continue to permit it. There are law enforcement and judicial authorities whose entire purpose is to prevent this. Use it or lose it.

Stop thinking in terms of 4D chess and optics. This is survival. The Right has become lethal to rule of law. Shut it down. Remove Members who countenanced the coup. Remove judges who abetted treason. A democratic state has the right to protect itself from being murdered. We who live in a democracy have the right to protect ourselves from losing that protection against the brutality of superior force.

4D chess is the last of the terms I am thinking in. I want to shoot the fuckers. The violence is going to happen. Why not get the drop on the right for ONCE in our miserable existance as a species? Do that and maybe we actually make some progress.
