Let them have it, eastern Washington is a pit anyways. As long as they don't get Leavenworth, though.

Good, maybe we can herd all the conservative Christians there. No one else will want to move there.

That's called Idaho.

I do like the idea of putting all the white nationalists in one place. Downwind from Hanford.

Dump's gonna have to improve his Ohio outreach.

A Klu (sic!, c'mon Hill!) Klux Klan (KKK) rally held in Dayton, Ohio, on Saturday drew only nine members to the event and hundreds of counterprotesters.

This bears watching.

A federal grand jury has issued a subpoena to former Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, mostly related to his 2018 campaign, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The subpoena seeks information about his political committee, a donor, a former employer and a charity he worked for. It is not entirely clear if this subpoena is related to the FBI probe of Tallahassee city hall, which Gillum has long insisted has nothing to do with him.

The only knock on Gillum was the Tallahassee allegations and the best thing that can happen is a complete investigation. If he's dirty he's done, but if he's completely exonerated that removes an obstacle to a swift rise to state prominence.

Kinda hard to argue with this woman, though:

Speaking against setting an age restriction for marriage in Louisiana, state Rep. Nancy Landry (R) said she didn’t like the way lawmakers were making it sound like every teenager who is married is a sex trafficking victim.

"It's really disturbing to me, because a lot of 16-year-olds are very mature," Landry said.

"If they're both 16 years old, and they both consent to sexual relations, and they're about to have a baby, why wouldn't we want them to be married?" Landry said. "Just as a public policy of the state we want children born into wedlock, if possible."

Basically they're going to force women to have babies if they have sex so this follows logically. It doesn't occur to them that women can have sex without babies, though, because of their superstitions.

This law is probably appropriate to LA. It's not as if they are giving their women any other choices in life than to be incubators. In a benighted pre-civilized state, this makes sense.

Unless those guys are complete f-cking morons, evidence would have been purged ages ago.

Re: The States: North Dakota is Still the Worst

she's been whining to the local news that she's being attacked from the right (certain to have a primary challenger) and from groups funding a yet-to-be-named democrat challenger

Democrats would have had/have no problem siding with her (and voting for her) if she actually had been true to her word. Once she went full hypocrite on the bit all bets were off.

Not only that but she told some just outright stupid lies trying to cover her a** and made a spectacle of herself in doing so.

Re: The States: North Dakota is Still the Worst

The Minnesota Court of Appeals ruled that Globe University and Minnesota School of Business, which closed in 2016, must pay $7.2 million to 6,000 former students for illegal loans that included interest rates of up to 18 percent.

I'll be dammed. Some justice.

Wouldn't surprise me if Collins pulled a Jeff Flake and bagged the re-election effort. Despite all of her water carrying for Chump, hard core Trump Humpers want a Paul LePage type to run and anybody to the left of them rightly considers her to be part of the cult.
