Sadly, the doctor is polling at 4% as of the end of July. Meanwhile, career publicity whore Geoff Fieger and former state Senator/current county prosecutor Gretchen Whitmer are tied for the lead at 35%. Fieger was trounced in the 1998 election, and his primary support will come from the city of Detroit proper, whereas Whitmer is from Lansing, so she's got no base in SE Michigan. Good job, Michigan Democrats.

Congratulations to our next Republican governor, current corrupt-as-fck AG Bill Schuette.

Patience. BHO and Slick were both off the radar at the start of their campaigns. The trick is a great ground game.

Chicago / IL = 2.7 / 12.8 = 21%
Detroit / MI = .7 / 10.0 = 7%

Dear god. If I lived in Michigan I might consider voting against him because politics is a complete waste of his talents. This guy should be out saving the world, not tearing his hair out in government.

It doesn't matter. The MI Democratic Party is a magnet for losers and failures. The mere fact that Fieger is considered a serious contender again tells you all you need to know. Here are the lowlights from his 1998 campaign.

I'm going to enjoy Roy Moore in the Senate. Too many people still view Republicans as mostly harmless old guy country club types when in reality they are bigoted lunatics. Really going to be tough to hide this guy as outspoken as he is. Only thing left to top it is David Duke finally capturing that elusive Senate seat in Louisiana.

So, there's two ways to activate lazy lefties whether they're conservaDems or living in a commune in VT. First would be with an inspirational candidate ala FDR, JFK, Bill Clinton or Obama. As the timing indicated, those people only come along once in a generation and we just had one (Obama). Otherwise, the other way is to point out what absolute F ups the current opposition is and then people put aside their focus on the 20% of things that divide the left and turn out (2006 would be an example of this).

The depravity of modern day conservatives and their Gooper representatives needs to be out there for all to see. Best way to do this is to force this into the limelight with people like Roy Moore and David Duke being elected representatives in every sense of the word of what conservative Republicanism has become. I'll also point out if people like Moore are in, the few remaining moderates in the GOP are probably heading towards the exits in swing districts.
