Agreed, but what gave me a moment of pause is that there have been studies done how domestic violence like this happens more frequently/more violently when (mostly white) males feel trapped emotionally or financially.

Seeing more "...before turning the gun on himself," stories, stepping back, and looking at overall economics, is quite interesting.
 
We need a nuanced study to figure out which factors lead them to turn their guns on themselves first.
