The scores of Saturday 10/23/10. A Valiant effort and get some good Pointers

Re: The scores of Saturday 10/23/10. A Valiant effort and get some good Pointers

The crappier the ECAC-W does out of conference, the better chance the MASCAC has of stealing Pool B.

(Fat chance, but you gotta have hope)
Who is this "MASCAC" you speak of? :p:D

BTW - May be in DC next weekend... beverage?

Oswegos defense seemed to be a lot more secure with the puck tonight. Beckwith was solid. Oswego can roll 4 lines with anyone. As I told an Elmira fan tonight, yes they lost, but you are looking at a top 5 national team. This is what you will see in March, so now you know what to expect. Elmira wasn't outplayed by any means and deffently hung in there with a great team. Elmira will go as far as their goaltending takes them. A couple of those goals were softies.

Final 5-4 Lawrence
Just back from Point:
The difference tonight was the goal tending as Johnson came up big for Lawrence, while UWSP freshman, Wolcott did not. He let in several shots that he should have stopped. Johnson had a stretch in the third period where he came up with three spectacular saves in a row.
BIG win for the Vikings!!

Wow. Way to go point. How does this squad who has two DI caliber players, one being a 4th round NHL draft pick and plenty of other good players lose to Lawrence? A Vikings squad who sputtered through last season?

They score more goals then the other team?? Just a guess....

You do realize that posting with your real name would make things far more entertaining, no?

But it's so much more fun to make fun of other teams than to look at your own and wonder how they barely got past Concordia WI.

Well, either that or we could just parse it down and admit the guy is nothing but a punkass *****.

Q: Where's your radio guy?

A: "At home where he belongs."

Lawrence beating Point could be pretty huge. If the MCHA can string together some non-conference victories, it could make their teams look "legitimate" come NCAA Tournament selection time and makes things out west very very interesting.

I agree but it is just one win and it was jsut by barely by one goal, but is was a win, rather wait and see the RF team and Augsburg and Adolfus games

Apologize for the technical difficulty there in the 3rd. Not only did the phone line drop, we lost power completely for a few minutes somehow. Luckily, only about 1 minute elapsed because there was a timeout called during it. Thanks for hanging in there.

You guys were better than the crew Elmira put on their Fasthockey feed - which dropped out almost every three minutes - finally dropped them and stuck with WNYO...:D
:rolleyes::rolleyes:One technical note - color dude needs a new mic or headset or needs to SPEAK UP...levels were not - uh, level:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

In regards to the UWSP and Lawrence game. It is very important to note UWSP sat Hallmark, Erstad and Bockman. All three play significant roles on the team. Credit still does go to Lawrence as well though. They played hard all game.

Josh....great fodder for your 'definitive speculative thread'
Nice to see that you're already in mid season form. :>)
