The release of Dick Pole got me thinking...

MW4Bucky&SNC

Done with Winter
...about some of the names in sports that it's hard to say without laughing.

Rusty Kuntz
Harry Colon
Dick Trickle
Gordon Johncock

These were a few that came to mind who else has got some good ones?

Re: The release of Dick Pole got me thinking...

Who is going to start the first "Dick Pole" in the polls section?

Re: The release of Dick Pole got me thinking...

I can't believe I forgot this guy in my first post, but only a few years ago the Brewers briefly had a relief pitcher named Joe Winkelsas. Bob Uecker's pronunciation on the radio made it even more funny.

Also, Dickie Thon always sounded like a really specific kind of fundraiser.

Re: The release of Dick Pole got me thinking...

There was a guy at St. Joseph's College who's name was Max Limp. Don't think a lot of people would have made much fun of him about his name as he was **** near 7 foot.

Re: The release of Dick Pole got me thinking...

Madison Hedgecock - Giants RB.

Always claimed at least once a year in our fantasy league, just for a laugh.

Re: The release of Dick Pole got me thinking...

I'm old enough to remember a kid who played for the Braves named Brian Asselstine. Can you imagine the crap he took for THAT name?

How about former NHL linesman Ron Asselstine?

"Hey, what's up Fagot?"

Even if you mean nothing by it it's going to come across demeaning. Of course he must have been the inspiration for Gaylord Focker. :D

iirc there was a RB named I.M. Hipp that played for TAMU back in the 70's.

Slap Shot, that reminds me of an over-the-top PC paper Leno actually quoted from on his Headlines segment last year. When Tyson Gay qualified for the Olympics they changed it to Tyson Homosexual for every mention of his name in the article.

There was a popular urban legend years ago about an automated filter than ran amock and spat out "African American holes" in a science journal.
