I, for one, loved his thinly-veiled contempt for college when Yale's O'Neill got hammered with a 5-min major and game misconduct for that open-ice hit.

Something like
"I actually like the college rule where the onus is on the player making the hit not to deliberately target the head."
It was less the words he said than the way he said them. He never came out and said "you have to be a real pansy to consider that a major penalty and game misconduct" but you could tell from his smirk that he was thinking "decent rule, unless your refs wear skirts"
