I really don't think it is fair that they use RPI as the tie-breaker. I mean most of the teams don't even play RPI.

I'm ticked about the RPI formula: refs screw over RPI in some of the games. Does that count?

How come Notre Dame isn't in? I was told a host institution was always placed in the regional they hosted. Now just to get Michigan in Fort Wayne we get left out??? WE WUZ ROBBED!

Nicely done!
All things considered though, there really weren't any teams that didn't make it that any of us thought would, right? This year it seemed more regional placement that was the issue.

Yeah but Michigan lost to RPI, so doen't that mean RPI should be a 2 seed? And then MSU beat RPI, so why are they sitting home? I agree, RPI stinks.

The Badgers didn't get screwed, so I'm going to have to adopt UND as my "got screwed" school for the week.
It's hard to think that UND's reward for winning the WCHA title is to have to fly out east and get stuck in BC's bracket on BC's turf, while the team they beat gets to play in St. Paul in front of a home town crowd. I know simple math was the real culprit in this deal, but still..... If UND loses yesterday maybe they play in front of their fans in St. Paul and One and Done U gets sent east (disclaimer: I have not run the math to see what the PWR results would have been for that scenario).
On second thought, maybe UND should feel lucky to be in at all. As Melrose said, if they didn't win yesterday they wouldn't have gotten in.

And the loss to Vermont hurts, too. Win that game and I'm not sure if it's enough the turn the comparison with another bubble team, but certainly would have helped.

It would have been enough to flip comparisons with two outlying Hockey East teams that they lost comparisons to despite a huge advantage in RPI.
