Getting ready to head into Boston for the Winter College Classic. Any other Maine fans on here going? Then we turn around tomorrow and head north for the game with Merrimack. Anxiously looking forward to both events!

Nope, the game is on NESN. My living room is warmer, the line for the restroom is shorter and the beer is cheaper.:D

Looking forward to heading to the fond this weekend. Been jonesin for some live Maine hockey. Feeling optimistic, playing at home and all. Hopefully they come out with the effort and keep it going for 60. If they do, the pucks will find the back of the net. One game at a time fellas...

As for Friday's game, I still don't think this is an easy win. Merrimack is a tough team and I hope our guys don't underestimate them. 5-3 Maine.

Keeping that French freshman off the board will be difficult. Should be fun to watch.

Wow, so much optimism. I'm looking at a hard fought game. Hopefully, Maine comes out on top.

If you’re going to the game tonight I think you’ll be impressed with Merrimack and what they bring to the game. This is the most competitive team the Warriors have had in a while and I am cautiously optimistic they will stay up in the standings and make the playoffs.

Make sure you check out DaCosta, he’s the real deal.

Go Warriors.

Merrimack was just as expected.

Not sure how much talent Merrimack has but they play their system to a T and worked the whole 60 minutes. Maine on the other hand, didn't. 10 minutes into the second until the goal got overturned, Maine was as flat as flat can be. Dee's goal was a beauty as was Abbotts. What can you say about Nyquist, awesome. I hope Darling is ok, same for Dee, he blocked a shot and my guess is his ankle is black and blue. Fast forwarding thru my DVR to see what happened on the goal and what happened to Darling

I was sitting on the other end of the ice and thought it was an equipment issue. You think its an injury?

The trainer doesn't come out for an equipment issue. Its the inside of his knee or maybe the thigh just above the knee. Merrimack ran him all night but the hit it happened on was about 2 minutes before play stopped and the trainer came out. He was hurtin for sure, hopefully its a bruise which is what it looks like on replay. When Dimmen got the penalty late in the 3rd, Merrimack ran him again.

No penalty for running Darling either which shouldn't surprise anyone.

Great win for Maine tonight. What a clutch goal by Nyquist. Maine needs to work on their penalty kill. The second key to the game was to kill off penalties. Merrimack is a solid team and DaCosta is very good.

just saw replays on the news.. game winner was an absolute snipe by nyquist...

Very nice win for Maine after the long layoff.

Winning pretty AND ugly is the sign of a good team. ;)
