Actually, I was betting the scoreboard situation would be first since that can be monetized and the current administration has been great at attracting sponsorship and is getting close to being maxed out on what they can sell IMO.

Hey, it was 70F yesterday here in Huntsville! Thankfully there weren't tornadoes out of the storm front that came through. (There may have been one in Fort Payne about 90 minutes ESE of Huntsville.) It's still a hell of a lot warmer here (low 50s F) than up there, today, and it'll be even warmer tomorrow. Stay warm and safe!

Of course. Also, the U.S. Army was in the arena until sometime this morning, doing what, I don't know. That ice is probably going to be absolutely terrible tonight.

That's the home slush advantage, y'all. Get us a better team and you'll see.

We'll try to take care of the soft ice problem for Huntsville next weekend. The current prediction for Friday night is a balmy -20 in Bemidji. Colder on Wednesday and Thursday if you care to come up early.

How many of you are planning to be in Grand Rapids for the finals? I was thinking we could meet and go drink beer somewhere. Founders isn't too far from the arena, and the BOB is right next door. If nothing else, there's a TGI Friday's downtown.

To be fair to your team, there were a lot of guys who got ice time and special teams time they don't normally get, including the keeper.

I might be there and I vote for Hopcat if I can get away. We don't want anyone to have an accident at the Bob.

I'll be there with the family. Any beer places that are family friendly? We've never been to Grand Rapids.

So Erik Higby is suspended for tonight's NMU-MTU game. Who has opinions on the slash? It's interesting that he gets the gate given Hietala got a minor for embellishment.

I don't get the embellishment to be honest. He took a slash above the chest. Couldn't tell from the feed how high but it look like the neck. I don't disagree at all.

During the game they called the embellishment minor, but the league officials watched the tape this morning, said WHOOPS, and suspended the dirty hack for tonight's game.

Not a highlight, but I guess it was a twohanded ax chop... Suspension seems to be legit from what I have been told...

I really wish that was the case. Being the third to last week of the season, it's very hard to justify playing a game where nothing counts except disqualifications and injuries. It was very obvious the guys didn't want to play that game. I know and understand why it was scheduled, but think it's absolutely ridiculous to have 3 bye weeks in 6 six weeks.
