I'd like to see Paula Weston do it for the eastern half, and maybe BB can do it for the west side, or beaverhockey, or maybe Moose. at any rate, they need to get on the stick and announce it.

Too bad . . . I thought Paula (aside from her ties to Ohio) provided better coverage of the CCHA than previous WCHA bloggers did of the WCHA.

I talked to our AD and our ASID today about AmericaOne. There will be a conference package that gets you all WCHA games — I'm not sure if that's live stream only or if they'll be archived. (I just thought about that.) Our AD didn't have a price on that. That package will not cover non-conference games in any facility. As an example, if you wanted to watch SCSU @ UAH this year, you'd have to pony up $16 to do that. IF you intend to watch all conference games, I'd do the conference package. Otherwise, go with the team pass.
All games will be in HD, as all schools had purchased HD cameras. Hopefully Octoshape does a good job with the compression.

Eff every member of this new crappy league and eff their inept and shortsighted agreement with the absolute worst streaming provider on the Internet.
This is the lamest, least imaginative way to showcase their product. This is once again a buch of old white guys clinging to the idea that there is somehow money to be made and there just isn't.
There was an opportunity to gain league exposure by showcasing the product to younger players by offering it for free... There was even a model in place to accomplish that.
Write your ADs and express your disappointment and every time the crappy b2 feed hiccups be on American Ones customer service like white on rice.

The league was set to go FREE with the FOX deal that would have been all HD. But FOX pulled the plug just a few weeks ago, saying that they were not ready. So America One Sports stepped in to at least make it happen...So now we take what we can get I guess....

Agreed, I'm happy to pay money to watch the WCHA games on streaming, they need all the revenue they can get... I'm just not sure if I'm going to be happy giving it to America One Sports. I've never really seen a good feed from them, even when the games are supposed to be broadcast in HD. It always looks like I'm watching an old VHS tape of a game.

My only hope is that any deal with AmericaOne is on a year-to-year basis. So if Fox gets their shiza together next year, maybe that deal will still be in the cards.

Hmm did AOS get rid of the team package? After logging in and selecting my team, it only gives the option for the $125 all WCHA package.

Most likely, no one is going to watch all 140 games; but, if you buy in @ $125 for the WCHA season package, 89 cents/game is "almost" free. And even if you only watch your own teams 28 WCHA games, $4.46/game isn't such a bad deal. And, yes, I hope the quality of the feed is better than watching an old VHS tape!
I see the conference wide season package offer as a first step for what is essentially a new conference. It might not be a CBSSN or NBCSN or FOX deal, but it's a start.
It looks like NMU won't get much exposure on TV, nor does it look like the rest of the nWCHA is getting much TV coverage this season. I don't know what the WCHA needs to do to change this. But, for now, I'll settle for what I can get at a reasonable price. I hope that within the next few years, maybe the nWCHA can get some exposure with at least one or two strong, nationally ranked teams. We shall see.
