Re: The NCHC: Just be glad its NaCHo League

Joe is a pretty good guy. He's done a great job at the Academy and a lot of people like working for him. He'll be missed but I'm sure he will do a great job with the NCHC.

Re: The NCHC: Just be glad its NaCHo League

I enjoy how they have to use their member institutions to make their announcements instead of one central site. Their Twitter feed pointed to the same article denverpioneers.com

With their "announcements," dealings, and how they've presented themselves in the year since their formation, I'm pretty sure the Miami Marlins front office is also the NCHC.

Not sure if that makes the Ralph that center field monstrosity though...

Re: The NCHC: Just be glad its NaCHo League

If the Vikings stadium bill passes, there is a provision in there allowing the city of Minneapolis to renovate Target Center.

So, even though it still won't be a made for hockey facility, it wouldn't be the dump it is now either.

And to think it seems only WCHA tweets are only a week late. The NCHC holds their announcements a week late.

All the cool kids aren't making their announcements on time these days. Get with the times, gramps.

Agreed. Resume looks good.

So far so good, considering they are still 18 months away.
And he doesn't have to move! Sounds like a good hire.

As for the Target Center being the place for the tournament.. I am fine with that. I more than happy to have the tournament so close to where I live. the TC may not be the best place to watch hockey but that's not a huge concern for me. The renovations for the place may not occur for a while. For all we know the NCHC tourney could be in another city by the time that is approve and completed.

I don't see any reason to hold their tournament on a different weekend.

Odds are the entire crowd will almost always be in the lower bowl or between the goal lines of the Target Center. I also suspect that the Target Center will be better that 95% of the arenas in college hockey.

Odds are the entire crowd will almost always be in the lower bowl or between the blue line of the Target Center. And I also suspect that the Target Center will be better that 95% of the arenas in college hockey.

Way to hit that softball.

poor sight lines, blind spots, poor lighting - DU will be used to that.

Then they wont be able to see...the sightlines at TC are better the higher you go. As for your other point...you just sound like this guy:
