The "I Can't Believe There's No Abortion Thread" Part Deux: Electric Boogaloo

Maybe this is the way the GOP tries to return to status quo ante. They now use this as their evergreen issue to vacuum up the fanatics' dollars. They create a new car to chase.

But women need to bear in mind that is an unending strategy. If they got their 15-week ban it would be a total ban. If they get a total ban it will be to ban birth control. If they ban birth control it will be to criminalize sex outside of marriage. If they get that, it will be to repeal the 19th Amendment.

This is the Taliban. They will never stop until you are legally property like it says in the Bible.

Wake up or die, women.

Lindsey Graham saves Biden’s big day - POLITICO

A higher-than-expected inflation report was threatening to black out President Joe Biden’s big celebration Tuesday of party-line legislation designed to bring down prices. The subsequent plunge of markets seemed to ensure a painful head-meets-wall day inside the White House.

And then, Sen. Lindsey Graham offered an unexpected soft landing. The South Carolina Republican’s 15-week national abortion ban immediately diverted and divided Republicans and left Biden’s aides shocked at the political lifeline they’d just been handed.

Well Kansas threw a monkey wrench into the argument. Funny Lady G never let women figure into his calculus...

Most women don't even have their first ultrasound at 15 weeks if I read right...

I can’t speak to most women. My wife has had an ultrasound within 8 weeks for both pregnancies. There is this huge caveat: she’s hyper-vigilant on the matter of watching for pregnancy because she’s prone to miscarriage due to ovarian issues that vlcause hormone levels to not meet normally expected tolerances.

I could see women in a more casual state of mind easily being caught off guard by 15 weeks.

But that all misses the point. The point is the opposite: that because most abortions are before 15 weeks, those which are after are women who wanted the kid but there's something lethally wrong with it. This is about forcing women to carry for months and give birth to babies without skulls. And all because a bunch of sick sociopaths are milking a bunch of ignorant radicalized pea-brained morons.

End the Right, save the world.

Correct. This is about the appearance of fairness. This is Sic's "but but but the EU and 15 weeks" without any of the nuance in their various laws.

Arguing about when the limit should be simply plays into the right's hands.
