I give you... the greatest Zillow ad of all time.

This expansive 9,052 square foot work in process is set on a generous 1.5-acre lot, a property brimming with potential and unique features. Tall fir trees and a territorial view signal a stately presence. It stands as an exceptional opportunity for investors, developers, or families looking for a substantial wealth building project. With a past proposal for seven additional subdividable buildable lots, this property is not just a home but a potential development goldmine.Care Home/Multigenerational Housing Opportunity: The layout and size make it suitable for conversion into a care home, subject to necessary permissions. Elevator Shaft: An existing shaft to connect all three levels, enhancing accessibility and adding a touch of luxury or ADA support. There is Ample Parking, inside and out. The current bed/bath count is 7/7.1, and As-Built Plans are available. Past construction took a pause, so changes to plans are much easier to make before construction resumes.Seller financing available, will carry balance with 50% down.

Had a leaky ice maker in our fridge. Eventually realized it was a broken mounting bracket (wasn’t immediately obvious because it had fallen on the shelf below) that caused it to sit at too much of an angle. The water would travel fast enough that it didn’t get a chance to freeze.

Of course I hadn’t realized that this was the problem before ordering a new ice maker, but I should get at least 80% of that back.

That's actually pretty good police work.

We didn’t even hook up the water or ice maker in our new fridge. Between replacing filters, reading too many posts about the ice maker being the first to break, not using ice all that often to begin with, it just ended up being one more thing that I didn’t want to deal with.

Whats stopping you from getting 100% back?

The return policy of the joint we ordered it from. Yeah, I could probably complain and get more, but when they didn’t the math and realized many people won’t try to claw it all back they had people like me in mind. Just don’t have the patience with some situations, I’d rather cut my losses and leave it behind me quickly.

So, it is really me that is stopping me I suppose.

Maybe I’ll sick my wife on them. She is very much the opposite. She’ll squabble for hours over a quarter*. Not because she needs it, but because of what it represents.

*A wee bit of an exaggeration

Gotcha. Wasn’t sure if you’d done the math on other parts or tools you’d used or if it was the return policy. Hard to fault them if the product isn’t defective, but it is annoying in this day and age when you aren’t reimbursed in full for a return. Fanatics is an example of the worst at this because if you want to return an item you can either get your money back but pay for shipping, which sometimes is like half the cost of what you bought if it was just a tshirt, or you can return it for “reimbursement” but you only get store credit.

But maybe it’s just Amazon and the like warping the mind of the consumer into thinking free shipping is the default.

Within the video, the short of it is that free shipping is baked into the sale price (of course), and online clothing returns are sent to the landfill rather than restocked. Other returns go to pallet resellers, where returns are then resold in bulk, by the pallet.

Looking great work dear, I really appreciated to you on this quality work. Nice post!!
My EPDM roof must have a big section cut out to repair water damage (a leak around ac that only showed up recently, must have leaked for some time). I am looking for suggestions as to what liquid roof product to use to do the entire roof over the existing rubber roof as well as the exposed plywood from the repair. I’m leaning toward a system called roofing herndon va but would love to find what others have used with success.

Oh look, the bots really like home improvement.

So, my husband wanted to replace the water stops under a bunch of sinks in the house. I don't know why he feels the need for this, but it's been a pet project for him for like a year now. I don't see the need, but he appearantly does. He doesn't like that some of the faucets get gunky and cleaning from the outside doesn't fully clean the screen, so he wants to take the faucets apart and clean the screens.

I just get angry because it keeps breaking the dishwasher. Every time he shuts the water off to the house, it triggers an error on the dishwasher. The dishwasher starts blinking and doesn't play nice. Google the blinking light error for our style dishwasher says something about it sensing water but none of the online fixes seem to work. Eventually one of the ten things he tries gets the dishwasher working again. Until the next time he decides to turn off the water. I'm just extra mad about it this time because he waited until my mother was coming to stay with us to decide he wants to get a plumber to replace the under sink shutoffs. So, that happens, the dishwasher is blinking again and 5 days later he hasn't even tried to fix it.

I want to hurt him as I think he has created this problem.

Also, that's a dumb design for a dishwasher if it alarms at low pressure. But if that's what's happening, then just shut off the valve at the dishwasher. Should hold the pressure in while he futzes with the rest of the house.
