Let me get this straight. Other countries don’t respect our leadership now, but if Trump gets back in office, they’ll respect us so much that we’ll need a massive missile defense system? Is that how this works?

Democrats need to stop saying they won't negotiate on the debt ceiling. What they should be saying is our position is we need to pay our bills. What is your position? What is your plan. If you ask Republicans for their plan they inevitably fail. Just look at health care.

That's too complicated for the average person.

"We do not negotiate with terrorists." Full stop.

Let others explain the facts. The media can actually do its job, for once. As soon as we state a fact, that fact becomes "partisan." The derps will outright reject it, our supporters already know, and the time we spend is time wasted from acting.

Just do the right thing and refuse to elaborate. This is exactly the reverse of what Dems usually do: explain in excruciating detail while never getting around to doing the right thing, whether that is by design because our politicians have been compromised or it is just a side effect of the academic circle jerk.

Remember "today is Wednesday." The Right is always attempting to judo us into a posture where we willingly waste our own energy. We must not fall for it. Keep advancing. Let historians and political scientists chronicle it later.

Being right never freed anybody or protected anybody's rights. Being active and applying pressure and doing positive things did.

Instead, all people will see is Democrats not getting stuff done. Stopping Repubs from getting things done. And blame them for it.

Just gotta say " we need to pay our bills. Repubs won't let us do that by stalling the debt ceiling. Otherwise, the entire global economy craters, and you lose your job".

Which is why the debt "ceiling" is a ridiculously misleading concept and should simply be ended.

90% of conservatives think raising the debt ceiling is increasing your credit limit, so not raising it means not spending as much money. It's not the credit line, as-sholes, IT'S THE BALANCE. Your tax cuts and corporate welfare ran up these bills. You HAVE to pay them.

The Boomers will go from 70M to 20M between 2022 and 2047.

Over the same period, the Silents will go from 20M to zero.

That is a loss of 70M people from the two cohorts which are far and away the most Republican. It won't mean anything for elections if the other cohorts move right as they age, but there is statistical evidence that is not happening for Gen Xers and indeed Millennials seem to actually be trending farther left as they age.
