My thoughts too. These children say and do idiotic and controversial things to attract attention, increase their hit tallies and, ultimately, rake in both dough and leverage (for dough). There have always been loudmouths at the back of the third grade classroom grabbing attention the only way they know how, but now it's the online business model.

Do not repeat it or spend energy or time stewing in it, at least with people who already agree with you. Give money to candidates and causes of your choice, letters to representatives and to newspapers, and time to campaigns you support. What we do so much of here is another form of passivity, and I'm very much a part of the "we."

I'm (hopefully...) not in the market for a new stove, as the one I have is probably under 5 years old, but I'd absolutely be looking at an induction stove were I. I'm fortunate enough to be able to spend the bit extra and they seem like a serious step up from electric.

FTR, I have a gas stove, came with the house. My wife and I are talking like it’ll be some type of electric stove when we replace it. My daughter has asthma, so it’s a concern.

Your sarcasm is cute, but have you cooked on one? They’re faster(things like boiling water) and easier and more consistent than gas or electric . Ease and efficiency of cooking. And won’t cause child asthma

I’ve never used one, but I have watched a couple YouTube clips where some guys were timing various controlled events, like boiling 1L of water, all using the same kettle. Induction was faster than electric coils, which were faster than glass tops, which barely beat out gas stoves.

Exactly. I happpen to have cookware that will transfer well, just last time I bought a stove, induction was hard to come by.

Are they finicky about how well you center the pan On the elements?

Any downsides?

Can you use cast iron?

We're not in the market but if we can, we're going for electric or induction next
