So, apparently a lot of medications available today have used a fetal cell strain? is that the correct way to say it? From a long long time ago aborted fetus. It's been an industry standard for medical research for decades and the Covid-19 vaccines used those cells in their testing/research.

Apparently Advil, Ibuprofen, Pepto-Bismol, Ivermectin ALL were created using that very research.

Now that research is being used (attempted) as a reason for religious exception in taking the vaccine. It failed in a case in New York but Gorsuch and Alito cited this exception in their dissent. To be true to that exception a lot of people would have some very empty medicine cabinets and restrictions. There are also from what I saw out there other important vaccines that trace back to those fetal cells. FYI, the Vatican has come out in favor of the vaccines despite this fetal cell issue. Interesting that the Vatican is ok with it but Gorsuch and Alito are not. You can find lots of information about it online. Just be careful cause the Facebook bs is mostly lies.

To some degree, I concur. I wish he'd do more to reform church policy on LGBTQ+ issues, shed more light on recent scandals, and clamp down on American bishops excessively sticking their noses into US politics for 15 minutes of attention. But, I am no longer a practicing Catholic and I don't think he's radical enough to call a Vatican III to really fix much of anything. So at this point the church is pretty much dead to me.

I am not sure what prevented the coup from succeeding on 1-6-21 but I question if it was our institutions (not saying that is what you mean). And the next time this happens (it will again in 2024) the whole thing is going to look a lot different.

Oddly enough, it may be necessary for real, actual patriots to do something similar in 2024 when the republicans engineer an what will truly be election theft. Or we can just sit idly by peacefully protesting while our country sinks further and further into the fascist nightmare it is becoming.

Rep. Jim Jordan forwarded a text message to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows on January 5, outlining a legal theory that then-Vice President Mike Pence had the authority to stand in the way of the certification of the 2020 election.

A portion of that message was read by the January 6 select committee during their contempt report presentation against Meadows in a meeting this week. The full House voted Tuesday night to refer Meadows to the Justice Department.

A spokesperson for Jordan, an Ohio Republican, confirmed to CNN that he forwarded a text to Meadows on January 5 that was sent to him by Joseph Schmitz, a former Department of Defense inspector general. Schmitz's text included a draft presentation arguing that Pence had the constitutional authority to object to the certification of election results from certain states.

Robert Palmer, 54, of Tampa, was charged with repeatedly assaulting police officers on the Capitol's Lower West Terrace. Prosecutors said he threw a wooden plank the police, then picked up a fire extinguisher and sprayed its contents at a line of officers, throwing the canister at them after it was empty.
