He honestly -- honestly -- does not understand that being a traitor carries with it a social stigma outside the Republicans' Hoover Institute circle jerk. These people are sociopaths. You even see it here on the Cafe sometimes. They don't see that when they divorced themselves from human decency that didn't change decency, it just meant they were no longer good citizens.

They have their grift to roll around in; I'm sure that will suffice.

It reminds me of a story I think Keith Olbermann told about meeting Sean Hannity. Hannity didn't seem to understand that Olbermann really did hate him, that while all of this is a game to him and his Faux Klan everyone else is being genuine and can't stand his rhetoric.

The GOP and their sycophants seem to have bought the BS that Libertarians spew about how both sides are the same and really want the same things.
 
To be fair, even though Hannity is a turd and no doubt sees his BS as fun and games for easy money, Olbermann hates everyone whom he considers to be beneath his inflated sense of his own intellect.

Oh, I don't believe that. I think he would like me and we would get along and I am most certainly not as smart as he is.

I can see this.

One of the necessities of being a "thought" (guffaw) leader for the Right is to be a malignant narcissist. If you have the slightest brain (and Hannity, unlike Bill-O or Dump, does) then in your mind you have somehow justified that you can spew filth into the airwaves and poison these people who go on to blow up federal building, drag gays behind trucks, and murder unarmed minorities. And yet somehow it's ok.

The only way it can be "ok" is if only you matter. You have to be a genuine sociopath who believes no other lives matter except your own. Then you can do it. And indeed it is self-selecting work: if you or I were like that it would be us doing it.

To be totally accurate, Crazy Q Lady said he isn't "A President", not "The President".

I'm not sure if she knows how that makes a difference because she's dumb as a bag of hammers, but the word difference does change the meaning.
