Model citizen.

A Tennessee man already facing charges in connection with the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol was arrested for allegedly planning to kill FBI agents, including those who had been investigating him, the Justice Department announced Friday.

Edward Kelley, who was previously charged with assaulting an officer during the Capitol riot, and Austin Carter, also from Tennessee, have been charged with conspiracy, retaliating against a federal official, interstate threats and solicitation to commit a crime of violence.

According to an affidavit, Kelley and Carter had a list of names of 37 law enforcement members to assassinate.

Handy doesn't seem to think he would.

No I said he doesn't support him...endorsing means nothing especially with Trump he turns on a dime.

If any of Trump's picks had a shot he would endorse them but he can't afford to make the wrong pick...again ;^)

What did it say if is pay walled...I saw it was on the lying Rep but I don't know much of the story.

By his account, [Santos] catapulted himself from a New York City public college to become a “seasoned Wall Street financier and investor” with a family-owned real estate portfolio of 13 properties and an animal rescue charity that saved more than 2,500 dogs and cats. But a New York Times review of public documents and court filings from the United States and Brazil, as well as various attempts to verify claims that Mr. Santos, 34, made on the campaign trail, calls into question key parts of the r?sum? that he sold to voters.

He lied about literally every detail of his backstory. All of which were seemingly easy enough to disprove.

I don't understand how this isn't automatic research done by every local reporter on the two or three major candidates. Past employers, IRS records, schooling, etc. if they make a claim that can be verified with a simple phone call, it should be done.

Access journalism. If you call out a candidate on lies, you are "biased," and you'll never get another interview. Candidates don't need journalists anymore. They communicate directly with their rubes via social media and their propaganda outlets. Without that requirement to play by the rules of journalism, you wind up with the rules of celebrity: suck up or freeze out.

Yeah, I wouldn't count on the journalists. But where was the opposition research?

Yeah, that part is amazing. Incompetent oppo by whichever Dem he beat. It is the second thing they teach you as a campaign consultant, after "cash the check immediately."
