The delights of irony

Re: The delights of irony

Well, your confusion is justified. No doubt the BBC could legitimately claim moral authority over the Vatican. But the fact that they apparently did so on accident struck me as funny, if not ironic.
The grim irony of the Vatican itself being that they publicly decry the perversions that they practice privately (of the sort, the viewing of which the BBC disclaimer is probably meant to disown). Does that count?

Oh. I only saw the story about photos of the apostles. I didn't see anything about perversions.

It's a generic rider tacked on by the BBC where they post related links. They didn't specifically put it on just for the Vatican's website. And it's a statement of fact, the BBC really doesn't have control over what outside websites put up as content.

So no, it doesn't count. :p

hence: "on accident".
I admit I have a weird sense of humor.

They do that for every external websites.

Re: The delights of irony

1 - Do you honestly think U2 had anything to do with that decision?

2 - Despite the irony, it is perfectly reasonable, for safety purposes, to limit the number of people in a given space.
Yes, but did they have to put up a wall that's high enough to block the view (and probably the sound)? How about a fence instead?
