Re: The definitive tournament speculation thread

Here's my take-
6E - 5W split

East
Norwich & Oswego get a bye
Curry plays@ M'Ville
Bowdoin plays @ Midd

Curry/Mville winner plays Norwich
Bowdoin/Midd winner plays Osewgo

West
GA and Scholastica play in
Winner plays Adrian
St. Thomas @ SNC

2E - 2W in semi

watch and see....

Re: The definitive tournament speculation thread

I was wondering if Hamline was considered a good team this year. And no, Elmira hasn't at all.
Yes, Hamline is a good team.

Gustavus has a 5-2-0 record against ranked teams, 7-3-0 if st thomas gets lifted into the final rankings.

Re: The definitive tournament speculation thread

My Final Call

East: Oswego, Norwich, Middlebury, Plattsburgh, Curry, Bowdoin, Manhattanville
West: St. Norbert, Adrian, St. Thomas, Gustavus Adolphus

The two keys: Adrian to Oswego for a QF and the UST/GA play-in winner at St. Norbert.

It gives the top seeds the byes like they deserve while also offering the West a chance to get two teams to Placid. The only anomaly is Adrian moving straight to a QF, but geography might dictate it. It seems to alleviate the major problems in the least painful way possible. PLUS, by using a real map you can make a case for Adrian-Wego being within driving distance.

Seed the rest of the East however you want.

I'm not explaining the route I took to get to this :)

Uh oh. Are you referring to what I think you are?!
Always seems to be in there somewhere, pleases the crowd (albeit ironically for some), hangs in for a while sometimes to keep things interesting, never the last one standing. Thought it seemed apropos enough. My apologies in advance to both Elmira College and Mr. Tonk Man for anything horribly offensive I may have inadvertantly evoked :o

Re: The definitive tournament speculation thread

National call is underway...

Anyone placing bets when this is final? I say sooner than later...

I say pretty quick. I think the teams are easy. Just where to send them is a little tougher.

I tend to agree. The only debate appears to be the Pool B and whether Elmira gets a Pool C if they don't get the B.

Put me down for 7:40 EST.

Re: The definitive tournament speculation thread

Preliminary reports indicate the field has been set.

Now, where the heck to put everyone...

Re: The definitive tournament speculation thread

Better LVC than Crookston. There'd be all kinds of foreign objects in the penalty box.
