Re: The D-I Pre-Season Fan Forum Poll For 2011-2012

Got the first vote in for UMD . . . three things to never forget about them.

1.) They always bounce back well after less than stellar seasosns. Last season the team seemed to play below expectation and I think they'll have a bit of a chip . . .

2.) They've never lost a national championship on their home ice!!

3.) Shannon Miller is the coach. If anyone can make something out of not having the best talent (and who's to say - UMD does have some pretty good players coming in!) it's her.

Number 2 is the one that scares me.

Just an FYI, I'll be closing the poll around about the beginning of Oct.

Re: The D-I Pre-Season Fan Forum Poll For 2011-2012

I too would agree with this. They were a tough team last season, and have added some very nice weapons to play along with Babstock. I'm excited to see Cornell play them this season.

Matt- sounding a tad condescending, Doctor. As if prior to this season the Big Red had been barred from competition with Qunnipiac- like school near Hamden there weren't quite yet in their (Cornell's) league (is there something here I am missing...?) I voted for Wisconsin. I considered voting for Dartmouth my team. They have a tough schedule. Get right into it quick this year. I have a crush on Coach Hudak! And his assistant coaches are wonderful. Surely like.

I like Cornell again in 2011-12. Best in the East. Where did BU come from last year? Yikes. Still like C. I saw Green beat you all last year at Thompson. Oh my. If anyone goes this year- come over and say hello. I won't bite as some thought apparently last year.

I was/am the MANIAC if you were there. Loud, big, older man... stood entire game, calling on Dartmouth to, "WORK-WORK-WORK!" While I greatly enjoyed myself and the team won in an upset being the kind of outspoken and loud person I am am sometimes a little embarrassed afterward. But some of my best friends are often equally in the limelight-out there.

And they did (work.) It (work) works.
