The frustrating thing is that average means nothing. I get a lot of time off. Many more get none. I don't know what kind of calculations they use to come up with that number (does it exclude part timers? does it include part timers that cobble together multiple jobs?).
I'm not saying the US is good with time off, obviously.
I did not get the impression these were averages, but the number of legal holidays which each country recognizes.
Can't be, because the legal minimum number of paid days off in the US is 0, not 10.
