A home-and-home interrupted by holiday tunaments for both squads. First date is at tBEC, second in Houghton.

Do not adjust your monitors - that second date is, in fact, a Tuesday.

Tech is on a 7-game skid, during which they've been outscored 36-11, and the injury bug is back in full force. We've had to sign a walk-on from Hancock to stop the bleeding. NMU has been up and down, and just got swept by Boat Anchor State. They're probably not keen on losing both UP series this year.

Miraculously, Tech leads the series for the ghost of the Ramada Cup 1-0-0.

Will this be relatively civilized, or will we see a repeat of Matt Siddall's Punch-Out from 2007?

(Dammit, I should've saved the "loser fires the coach" schtick for this one.)

If NMU losses Friday's game at home, Im going to go insane and prob break many things in tBerry.

I hate that thing. It blocks my view of the ice to start the game. I dont care how cool it looks. Nobody from the community comes to games anyway. There will be about 10 students in attendance this weekend.

Oh, Tech woman's bball travels better than mens hockey.

Many reasons to not go to the games this weekend:


-God, we suck.
-Man, Northern sucks too.
-tBEC is such a crappy building to watch hockey in.
-Losing to NMU would be pretty embarrassing.
-Even if we win, for the second time in 2 years the sore losers won't surrender the cup they paraded around tJMSIA like it was the Vince Lombardi Trophy
-I have to drive an hour and a half out of my way AND pay to see this crap?


Yes I will still go. This'll probably seal the deal for road trips this year sans FF if we can't pull out a win :p

Maybe the fans can get together and create a trophy of some kind.

I suggest a Yooper Flag between the Misfits and the Puckheads.

Time for another round of mediocre hockey between two sh*tty teams. Yay! :rolleyes:

Northern wants revenge from the Showcase & outcome of the LSCC series, and wins at home, 4-1. I'm just glad that I'm too far away to attend this year, so I can get a B2 feed instead of paying $15 to put up with the Dingleberry's sightlines.

NMU wins 11-1, Jordan Baker tries to karate kick Stewie and Matt Butcher Shoryukens him into the hospital.

If we're going to draw comparisons to Footer, I'd reckon it's Seth Soley who is more likely to "injure" Stewart and get his butt kicked.

Brent did leave me that bottle of the Baltika stuff... maybe I should drink that before the game. It'll make it not hurt so much...
