The Athletes sexual assault thread...You asked for it

Re: The Athletes sexual assault thread...You asked for it

I suppose we could just say, all of them.

Re: The Athletes sexual assault thread...You asked for it

There we go! Miguel Sano. Don't have one of the 5,000 links handy.

Re: The Athletes sexual assault thread...You asked for it

As in, the posters of USCHO asked for it, not the victims. Just had to clarify.

Brock Turner. Starting it off with an obvious one.
Judge Aaron Persky of Santa Clara County Superior Court sentenced Mr. Turner — who was a 19-year-old freshman when the crime occurred on Jan. 18, 2015 — to six months in a county jail and three years’ probation after he was convicted of three counts of felony sexual assault. Mr. Turner faced as much as 14 years in prison.
Talk about a travesty of justice.

Ryan Pacyga...yeah that guy is a tool but he is a pretty good lawyer.

Story

"Pacyga says his client has been accused of sexually assaulting one woman and having non-consensual sex with another. Both incidents allegedly happened back in April of 2016."

Non-consensual sex...or RAPE in the real world.

Since he got charged lots of stories have been floating around going back to high school. If the U of M wasnt worried about lawsuits and such they would have kicked him out the second the committee found it was likely he did it.

Is it just me, or does Pacyga defend all these guys? Those spots on PA's show must be paying off big time for him...

Every major university has their version of that guy that is a good lawyer and loyal booster that the university will funnel their guys to when they **** up.

That said, Minnesota should have begged that guy to **** today. He just kept saying things and good lord was it awful.

Re: The Athletes sexual assault thread...You asked for it

Pacyga is not "The U's Guy" in fact if anything he is on their *bleep* list. They want Lynch gone (if they could have kicked him out of school without putting themselves at risk they would have) and he is the last guy they would funnel this case to to make that happen. He has had success in the past beating this charge from this committee.

Off topic but my cousin used to be one of the guys the U called back in the day...he screwed that up royally though.

Re: The Athletes sexual assault thread...You asked for it

Pacyga does his job. I don't know about his history, or his moral code of defending guys, etc, but AFAIK, he does the job that he was hired to do. Right or wrong, that takes balls.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say he was the U's guy, just that his name seems to pop up on these high profile cases involving athletes in MN...

He's a well-known lawyer, in part thanks to the 93X morning show. So if you haven't had to call a lawyer before, I can see your thought process on this one.
