Actually, I think we're headed in the right direction. We're on the verge of finishing in 3rd place, a good nucleus coming back (although there is still a lot of hockey to be played this year), and it looks like another respectable recruiting class coming in.

What a horrible effort last night. It is hard to believe that a team can come out so flat and play that bad in a critical game. They better dig their heads out of their collective arses or they will be on the road next week.

I can honestly now say, I am glad I went to my son's basketball game last night and did not waste the time or money to go watch that cluster last night.

In other news, I have to go to wallyworld to buy a new transister radio as I smashed the one I have had for 10 years after UMass' third goal.

I agree, terrible effort, painful to watch.

Can't wait to watch them **** away home ice for quarters tonight on TV.

so if Vermont, NU, and UMass win tonight, there will be 7 teams in Hockey East within one game of .500

and TIm is going to jump up and down about earning home ice.

either way, it was a mediocre season in a league that has more parity than I think anyone would ever have thought possible.

Gee you think UMass can win tonight and then Maine and UMass can play in the quarters... AND Maine can end the Hockey East season with a 4 game losing streak to the Minutemen??? Naaah... Tim has been to 4 frozen 4s in 6 years or something

Your scenario still has them getting home ice. That won't do. The athletic department might make money - and there's a chance the team might accidentally win.

Somehow they're still at 17 in the PWR. A win tonight, and hosting a TUC in the quarters still does good things. I'm not sure what would have to happen to play VT, and I'm way too lazy right now to figure it out.

Maine wins or ties, BU wins at NU, UVM wins at UML and PC wins at MC.

Nice to see quotes in the BDN by players saying things like "we thought it was going to come easy and they're obviously a better team". :( Really does a lot to encourage fan support for the Maine hockey program.:rolleyes: I noticed Cahoon refused to let his players be interviewed. The Minutemen may have left it all on the ice last night. One can only hope.

Heard that before, haven't we?

Doesn't seem to make any difference who the seniors are, or where the leadership comes from, seems that lackadaisical, self-satisfied, complacent attitude continues to permeate this team.

A good coach would see that attitude brewing, and nip it in the bud, before it reached full bloom and damaged the team on the ice. A good coach.

After the last two seasons, this is the last thought that should be running through any Maine player's head. It's amazing that he actually would even say this in print.
He, and the rest of this team, ought to be embarassed and ashamed.

I'm so sick of the sh*tty attitude that permeates this program.......no wonder they are losing fan support at breakneck speed. At this rate......fans will be jimping ship for hoops next season. :eek:

I don't know If I would go that far. No one goes to the basketball games.
