No. China's going to fall apart. Like Russia, the Arab World, and the derp part of the US. And for the same reason. It has to democratize and throw out its kleptos.

The 21st century is the transition of global power from the corrupted US to a bipolar competition between the Anglosphere (led by India, US, British Commonwealth) vs the EUsphere (led by Germany, France, Poland). The rest of the world will just be our chessboard. My ignorant guess is Japan, Indonesia and Nigeria ally with the EUsphere and South Korea, Mexico and Brasil with the Anglosphere. Everybody not named will be proxy battlefields and gunboat markets.

1945-2025 was a short breather within the 1600-2?00 historical epic, during the time it took Europe to rebuild, rearm, and reassert. Fukuyama was right. He just didn't know the US would shoot itself in the dick.

And when the German closes their eyes at night and they're tortured by their subconscious for the evil they have done, it will be with thoughts of us they are tortured with.

This is what I’m hoping. I think the House Democrats writ large are tired of the senate Democrats. They’ve been fucked over twice now by Schumer. Jeffries managed to lose fewer of his caucus than Schumer did despite it being 4.5x the size.

I get that being a senate minority leader is significantly more difficult than a house leader for various reasons, but Schumer is especially feckless. Harry Reid ran circles around him. He didn’t give a fuck when something wasn’t provably true, he said it and put the GOP on the defensive. We need more leaders in the Democrats willing to just start calling these people pedophiles. Make them defend themselves.

I suspect Jeffries would be a much better leader if given the opportunity. He’s held his caucus several times. Schumer has been given that opportunity and has blown it each time. I’m much more willing to give Jeffries a longer chance especially given that the oversight Dems almost certainly didn’t do this without his blessing, implicit or explicit.
 
I think you give Jeffries way too much credit. Keeping his caucus together when he has Nancy still backing him is a cake walk. The guy is an awful politician as seen by the Zohran fiasco.

Beyond that though you are completely correct.

I'm not sure Schumer is feckless. I am starting to suspect it is feature not bug.
