Devin better hope whatever Trump told him (you know that is why he made that mistake) is right or he could be in lots of trouble ;)

Yowzers.

That's still a race that is his to lose. That quarter of Iowa is heavily Republican outside of Ames.

I'll dance in the streets if he loses (and my late Great Aunt Florence would finally stop rolling over in her grave), but I am not getting my hopes up.

Re: The 2018 midterm elections!

Congressman Steve King became angry and had a citizen removed from a candidate forum with the Des Moines Partnership on Friday after being asked about his stance on immigration, according to reporting from online news source the Iowa Starting Line.

The site reported that the individual, Kaleb Van Fosson, an Iowa State University student, asked King about an interview he did with a white supremacist and anti-semitic website, and mentioned the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh last Saturday.

As Van Fosson continued to ask King about what distinguished him from the man charged in the synagogue shooting, King erupted, telling Van Fosson not to compare him to the shooter.

Depending on how they phrase the analysis, both can be true. Early Voting typically has an R slant, so if Early Voting is still skewing R but less so than usual, both sides could phrase the argument and not be contradicting each other.

Welcome back and interesting....opposite of what I would have guessed. I’d have assumed that early voting would be more of a younger / millennial “techie” type of thing and thus more left leaning.

Re: The 2018 midterm elections!

Minnesota early voting is up 177% from 2014 and is just short of 2016. Hennepin county leads the way...as its triple what it was in 2014. As of yesterday, Hennepin Co. included 21k voters from Mpls, 7k from Plymouth, 7k from Bloomington, 6k from Minnetonka and 6k from Edina. Can't be bad news for state Dems.

Just heard on the radio, Evers up 3 1/2 on Walker. Don’t know how reliable that is. Would be great (imo) if MAM2 played a small role in Walker and Schimel losing their jobs.
They made their beds.

Check with Scooby for a second opinion on that last statement. ;)

My predictions haven't changed. I expect Minnesota will win all complete state offices except the Attorney General which is a toss up. Of the eight congressional districts the Dems could get as many as 7 and as little as 3 depending on how things shake out. The Dems have 5 now. It's doubtful they end up less than that.

So that means Minnesota will still have a Democratic Governor, and two Democratic Senators.

You ever been to that part of Washington (west of Coeur d'Alene, ID, to Spokane)? It makes West Virginia or the MN Iron Range seem cosmopolitan. That noise will play for him.
