It's that time of year again. The USCHO Nerds league, founded in 2002, is open for business and accepting registrations.

Up to 16 teams will be accepted, head-to-head format. We ran with 14 last year. Registration is first-come, first serve.

Draft date is slated for Tuesday, March 19, 8 p.m. EST. (A bit earlier than usual. There are two MLB games March 20-21, then none until March 28. Figured it would be best to include all games for our league.)

I'll send reminders through this thread periodically.

It's always been a fun, yet competitive league.

Looking forward to another season.

What is going to be the weekly min for IP?

Always seems set too high to mookie :(

I don't know if he has much control over that. The high val does make things interesting, although sometimes it leads to purely game-related decisions, like picking up some shlub just because he starts on Sunday. 36 does seem too high.

We've got 12 teams. Draft in 18 days, here's a final push to get a couple more teams.

Max for our league is 16, which we had for the first several years, back when a lot more folks frequented the USCHO Cafe and the league filled up in a matter of days. We've run 14 most years, 12 a few times. It just takes a while to get there.

I'd love to get to 16. The deeper the league the more difficult as all the good athletes are long gone and it becomes a strategic game.

Better too if we can get more involved players. And of course trash talking is vital to the moral uplift of any experience.
