This is NOT good news. Hoping OSU will also be short players.

USA plays Canada in a prelim series starting Oct 28. The US selection process will probably take a similar path so players will miss games. The WCHA created some open weekends within the tournament time period but not for the whole duration. IIHF moved the tournament to be less disruptive to the PWHL schedule which starts at the conclusion of the tournament. NCAA players situation is not really being considered. Maybe the should switch to just use pro players in the future.

I've seen the USA info but don't see anything for Canada, other than to 2 games with USA before the Worlds start.
