Seven rounds in the shootout? Where the hell was our offense? At least Ellingson did his part...

The chances were there in the shootout. Hanson had a beautiful move, just couldnt get it over the pad. Ray (I think) had the goalie beat but couldnt put it home. Ellie had some great saves in the shootout as well.

I'll take the two points as Northern easily could have come away with 0 this weekend. Trailing going into the third, on the road, with a 4 hour time difference could spell disaster for some teams.

Granted, there are lots of question marks left after this series. Mainly the goal keeping. I think you might see a split weekend coming up, unless the goalie Friday night gets a shutout or turns in one hell of a performance. I do think you will see Ellie Friday night though.

Also, Hanson turns in his third straight 3 point game. 12 points in two weekends, and ever since Beminji State series, the line of Hanson, Brown, Butcher/Peitlla has been outstanding.

Question marks in goal? Stewart plays five outstand games in a row, gives up a couple tough goals in the sixth and now there's a question mark? I don't think so.

I think the only question in goaltending comes from the lack of shootout wins. To date this year we have lost all shootout challenges. There is no question that we have two quality goaltenders in Stewie and Ellingson, however, I feel that if we don't get some shootout wins, those lost points will come to bite us in the rear come playoff pairing and games.
