Super Saturday ..Scores and then some...

Re: Super Saturday ..Scores and then some...

Auggies get a breakaway. Don’t score but draw the slashing penalty. PP with :30 left in the sixth

Re: Super Saturday ..Scores and then some...

That’s the end of the 6th. They’ve played two full games and it’s 1-1.

SOG are 80-55, I believe but they moved the camera off the scoreboard.

ON TO THE SEVENTH!!!!

6+ periods, and all I saw was 54 seconds. LOL

You got that part that mattered.

I really don’t want to see Adrian next week but I think that may happen. I am hoping Augsburg jumps Adrian in the rankings so AC goes to Point.

Of course not sure another Augsburg game is any better of a draw for SNC. I suppose everyone is good this time of year.

Augsburg did jump over Adrian.

Re: Super Saturday ..Scores and then some...

490 Adrian to Point
425 Adrian to SNC
636 Adrian to Augsburg

So, perhaps Augsburg to SNC, Adrian to Point (and call out the extra security for that!) ...if Adrian's loss sends them below Augsburg...

I'll be darned, I thought I checked those before. It does look all the West teams will get byes, and none of the East teams will. That's the way the NCAA likes to do it.

Re: Super Saturday ..Scores and then some...

Just walked in the door from the Augsburg game at The Ed. Had pre-game dinner at Davanni's across the street and should have gone back, so hungry after watching 2+ games.

Last year we had a home playoff game with Marian, I hope we get a home game like that with Adrian.

Congrats on the win

Augsburg hosting Adrian seems unlikely because...

It appears top four west teams would be, in order: UWSP, SNC, Augsburg and Adrian.
https://www.uscho.com/rankings/pairwise-rankings/d-iii-men/

So, that puts 4 Adrian at 1 UWSP, 3 Augsburg at 2 SNC.

Additionally, NCAA will avoid teams flying - which means has to be under 500 miles for a matchup. Adrian is more than 600 to Augsburg. Even if it meant bracket integrity - which it doesn't - Adrian couldn't go to Augsburg.

If I am understanding this correctly... and I make no guarantees of that

A) Brackets seem right but Adrian ,I believe , still needs a Utica win to seal that spot, a Utica loss would mean ?????
I’m also pretty certain that’s the only way the West can be done w a 8-4 split,, this would be Point/Adrian year fourth in a row quarter with SNC playing the Minn team as well. Eau Claire almosted messed up the norm this year.

Thanks for the explanation. I lurk on this board all the time but last night, in the late night fog I forgot to do the math.

Re: Super Saturday ..Scores and then some...

Am I the only one getting bored of this same story every year? I get the miles and distances between east and west, etc., but Augsburg @ SNC and Adrian @ WSP seems like an annual thing and to me it's just getting repetitive. Now, granted those teams continually win and deserve their spot in the tournament, but it just seems like every year it's the same thing with these west teams. Idk.
