It is amazing how many times Lee has come so close to making it in the NHL. Even this year, he was invited to the Kings camp, nearly becoming the oldest rookie in the NHL. He's played exhibition games (way back, he scored an overtime winner for the Islanders against Boston on his birthday), but never a regular season game, despite being called up a number of times, but only on "standby."

He's had an extraordinary career in the KHL, even winning the playoff MVP award, as well as making their All Star team.

I still maintain he was one of the best "quarterbacks" on a power play I've ever seen.
