That goal song, I really do not care for. The person who wrote it is an absolute tool, knows nothing about hockey (or sports for that matter), and who is a disgrace to the music department at SCSU. They forgot to tell him there is a reason why "huskies" is not spelled at hockey games.

LOL, I am wondering when the students of today are going to catch on to that....:D Those were the early years of Husky D1 hockey where we were all jsut happy if the team got home ice in the playoff's and we had booze in our jackets to keep the buzz going.:D

It's Thursday, so we can talk about the games right?

SCSU is undefeated and I can't see this depleted, rebuilding UND team giving St. Cloud a loss. I see SCSU scoring 9 goals this weekend and sweeping.
 
Are these midco games on directv?

And I thought the nchc was gonna be on CBS sports or something all the time. Didn't see any nchc games on uschos tv schedule page for the weekend. What gives?

DirecTV is never usually known until the day of the game IIRC...

There is football on CBS Sports this Friday instead of hockey.

No, my understanding is part of the NCHC deal with CBS Sports was that the "local" broadcasts couldn't be on "National" tv like Fox College Sports in competition with CBS's broadcasts. I'd love to be wrong but from what I've been told this is the case. That said, I notice DU has a fair number of games on ROOT and CC/DU has one on Altitude but those must not be considered "National" since only those of us with Dish or DirecTV "sports pack" get them beyond the local area.

Anyone know for a fact that what I've been told is wrong?

Clearly you haven't heard it because it doesn't lend itself to that.

Lady wore Black, its not a GOAL song, they're still playing the child molesters song for goals, the new song is just for when they come out onto the ice.

Woah, slow down there Sparky. As much as I'd like to see SUCS roll UND, I think you need to slow your roll and manage your expectations.

You technically tied with BSU then lost in a shootout and your other games you grinded out (close) wins against Colgate (who?) and Bemidji. Strength of schedule isn't in your favor. Need more time to tell how good they are.

And how are the Whioux depleted? They have more NHL-drafted players than any other team. Young? Sure, but not depleted.

Plus you have to account for playing at the shrine that the Nazi-lover built. Makes it tougher.

Chances are that UND will be too focused on the fact that they get to play Minnesota again and you'll roll them one of the nights. The other game is a loss. You're welcome for the win!

Gretzky, really? At least rip on Dirty (still in his mom's basement!) by mentioning someone who PLAYED college hockey! Rocco is already ahead of Gretzky's college hockey record with this years 2 goals alone... :(

Not yet and I don't expect them to.

I'm thinking split, UND has too much talent to be swept at home by this Huskies team given what I've seen from both of them so far.

Some weekends the Midco Sports Net can be picked up on DirecTV. It all depends if they need programming....

I have already been taken to task for this. I guess I should formally apologize for not fully thinking out my analogy before posting it. I am sorry.

Feel free to substitute any scoring record holder with any obscure qualifications in the place of Gretzky. Rocco Grimaldi will not threaten any of them.

Speaking of slowing rolls, you need to pump your brakes a few times. I don't like your tone. And if you didn't get the message last time, you don't get to set other people's expectations.

Looking at the standings and not seeing a loss on there. Seem undefeated to me. Did you watch either of the SCSU/BSU or SCSU/Colgate games. If not, how can you tell if we "grinded out" wins? You took until the end of the season to be able to tell how good SCSU was last year, so I won't hold my breath for your stamp of approval this year.

Look at their roster and stats from last year. Then look at their roster for this year.

We took 3 points up there last season. No reason we can't take all 4 this season.

What if SCSU loses Friday and wins Saturday? How can you account for UND being focused on playing the Gophers on Friday and not Saturday? Will Hakstol sequester the UND players so they don't find out about the scheduling agreement with the U of M? I guess I shouldn't worry about that and just be thankful for the win that you so graciously gave us.
