St. Thomas - New Season in a New Arena

This week I received an email from St. Thomas that the last suite was available for the mens hockey games. I grabbed the last box within 3 days of the women's hockey tickets going up for sale. Does this show the discrepancy between the mens and women teams? Or are the women's team followers more excited about the new season on campus? Ice time is approaching!

I saw a video of it today and it looks really nice. I could see myself heading there for a game sometime. I see UW is there mid January. Hmmmm.....

Anyone with an outlook on what the coming winter is going to be? We have had some pretty wimpy winters lately. Will it be back to lots of snow and roaring 20's below? My winter beater has snow tires so I will be ready for the worst.

It doesn't feel like the women's team is more relevant in the WCHA than the men's team will be in the NACHO. There certainly isn't a shortage of hockey games to attend in the Twin Cities on any given weekend during the season. Do you know the percentage of students that live on campus? I hope they both get good attendance and not number similar to their previous home.

You Minnesotans and your snow tyres......haha. Drivers from WI are so much more talented drivers that we don't need them.

Driving that far in the winter freaks my wife out, but if we showed up for the game in a whim I presume I'll be able to get tickets at the window, then find a hotel somewhere in the Metro and go home Sunday.

Give credit where credit is due. He did make the left turn after the spin-o-rama...
That was fun making that slide turn there. I've only dumped a car into a ditch during winter twice, the last time was about 28 years ago (boy I am getting old). Both times it was with a Mustang, so rear wheel drive did me in. In retrospect, I probably should have put snow tyres on those, but no damage to the car either time, just needed to get yanked out of the ditch. Now that I am practically elderly, I park the Mustang for the winter and drive the F150 in 4WD only when needed. I do enjoy doing donuts and fishtailing in empty parking lots.
