St. Norbert offseason - moving down a letter in the alphabet

Re: St. Norbert offseason - moving down a letter in the alphabet

The new Conference make-up has actually been populated on the NCHA website for a few days now. Check out the 'Standings'

I'm guessing it is official :)

Re: St. Norbert offseason - moving down a letter in the alphabet

Why would the NCHA page have that? I was looking at the logos across the top of the MCHA page, etc.
Looks like they jumped the gun a bit, prior to official announcement === MCHA now NCHA...

Re: St. Norbert offseason - moving down a letter in the alphabet

If they were going from the NCHA to the MCHA wouldn't they be moving UP a letter in the alphabet?

depends on how you do it, I guess. "M" is the 13th letter, "N" the 14th, so going from 14 to 13 would be down a spot...

Re: St. Norbert offseason - moving down a letter in the alphabet

Heard at tonight's banquet that up to three transfers will be joining the SNC lineup for next season.
Two of the three should be immediate starters.
Although, not official, until they report to campus.

Re: St. Norbert offseason - moving down a letter in the alphabet

So, this thread is now misnamed. Suggestions for a new one? I'm feeling musical.

* SNC Hockey - The Maxine Nightengale edition: Right back where started from

* SNC Hockey - Hello, I must be going.

* SNC Hockey - N and M and N

* SNC Hockey - You say goodbye, I say hello

or... Welcoming the firm of Harris, Peters, Kronschnabel & Slaats.

Re: St. Norbert offseason - moving down a letter in the alphabet

So, the NCHA dissolves. SNC and St. Scholastica move to the MCHA. The MCHA changes it's name to the NCHA.

Makes perfect sense. :p

Or the Women's NCHA (which never dissolved, and keeps the same members) takes over the MCHA, then admits SNC and STS. Does that make it make more sense?

For a serious question. Are league records going to be based on the old NCHA stats, the MCHA stats, be merged, or start all over in 2013? Who holds the league record for goals in a season? In a career?

Enquiring statistically oriented people want to know.

Will the Peter Cup still be awarded to the newly constituted NCHA or the WIAC?

Peter's Cup will be awarded to the regular season champion and Harris Cup to the playoff champion.
